Music Theory

Music Theory
Grade: 10 and above               Length: One semester/ one-half credit
This class will focus on notational skills, fundamentals (scales, key signatures, intervals), harmonic, linear and structural aspects of music, rhythm, and ear training.  Classroom expectations involve working together in groups as well as individual assignments.  Students will be evaluated through assignments, tests, and projects.  Rigorous completion of this course will prepare students for the AP Test in Music Theory.
