Class Voice
Grade: 10 and above               Length: One semester/ one-half credit
This course is a vocal music class for students who want to develop their individual skills singing in a group setting.  Students will develop their tone quality, range, pitch awareness, correct breathing, diction, music reading skills and stage presence through solo song literature including folk song arrangements, music theatre and art songs.  Course requirements could involve minimal commitment outside the regular classroom.  Students will be encouraged, but not required, to use this opportunity to prepare for the Solo/Ensemble Festival held on March1 at Western Oregon University.
